How we helped
3-D Energy’s set up a simple real-time visualization tool for the resort’s key consuming areas, producing an “energy heatmap” of the facility. The data analytics matched precisely the minute-by-minute energy consumption of the resort against an optimal solar system production profile. With such detailed understanding, the owner realized that a smaller solar system, tailored to its actual energy usage profile, would produce the strongest investment returns.
3-D Energy’s energy monitoring program helped crystalize a dual solution program: a custom-sized solar system to offset energy costs during the day, and a battery storage system to shave peak energy consumption for the resort’s heating system.
