Daimler AG has signed a Power Purchase Agreement with the 45.1-MW Taczalin wind farm in Poland. The electricity contract with the wind farm will allow Daimler to lock the price of energy for their Mercedes-Benz manufacturing site in the town of Jawor and protect itself from market price fluctuations. In addition, Daimler has announced a long-term initiative to reach net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, and the wind farm agreement is another step towards reaching that global milestone.
